Visakhapatnam: YSRCP Parliamentary Party leader and general secretary V Vijayasai Reddy on Wednesday expressed his support and solidarity with the agitating trade unions to stop privatisation of Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL) and promised to lead a delegation to Delhi to meet Union Steel Minister Dharmendra Pradhan to explain how the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant was established after a 'Visakha Ukku Andhrula Hakku' (steel plant in Vizag is the right of Andhra) agitation.
Reddy, who attended a meeting held by various trade unions at the main gate, described the struggle by the unions genuine and said his party was totally committed to prevent privatisation of RINL, the corporate entity of VSP, by getting captive mines to reduce production cost of steel.
